§ 00Careers at CEFTA

Build the builders.

We are a small team making standardized, hands-on frontier-tech education for school and college students. We hire practitioners who build the thing they teach, and we say what we mean — including here.

§ 01Why work here

Three things that are true here

01

The engine is the moat, not a cost centre

At most edtech companies, curriculum is overhead to be minimised. Here the curriculum engine — the module template, the refresh cadence, the retirement SLA — is the actual product advantage, and the thing a competitor with a recorded-course library structurally cannot copy. You'd be working on the asset, not the expense line.

02

Practitioners, not lecturers

We hire people who build the thing they teach, and we expect you to keep building. That's the “build to learn” value applied to our own hiring — and it's why an instructor who stops practising stops teaching that stream. It costs us people we like. We do it anyway.

03

Outcome-focused, no hype — internally too

No placement guarantees outward, and no invented numbers inward. Published prices, published discount rules, published syllabi. If we won't say something to a parent, we don't say it in a deck either. Expect the same standard applied to your own work.

Be warned about one thing. Our prices and our discount rules are both published, so nobody here closes a deal by inventing a number in the room. Several roles are harder because of it. We consider that the point, and we won't be relaxing it.

What we're hiring for

Open a role to see the full brief — what you'd own, what you'd bring, and why the role matters. Everything here comes straight from the internal job description.

Head of CurriculumOpen nowOwn the curriculum engine — keep every stream at the frontier, always current, and standardized across sites.Curriculum · Full-time · India · location TBD per hire

What you'll own

  • The L0–L3 module template and the quality bar across all streams
  • The refresh cadence, and a retirement SLA that flags stale content
  • Sign-off on every stream's syllabus and every edition
  • The industry-sensing inputs — advisory network, hiring signals — that decide what we build next
  • The Curriculum Designers

You bring

  • Deep practitioner background in at least one frontier stream, plus real teaching or instructional-design instinct
  • Ruthlessness about obsolescence
  • The judgment to say “retire this”

Bonus: Experience shipping curricula at scale; a network of practitioner instructors.

Why this role matters

The engine you run is the moat — the thing competitors with recorded-course libraries structurally can't copy.

Curriculum Designer (per stream)Open nowTurn “always current” into shipped content for one stream — Robotics, Data Science, Gen AI and the rest.Curriculum · Full-time or contract · India · location TBD per hire

What you'll own

  • Building and refreshing your stream's L0–L3 modules against the template — labs, projects, assessments
  • Keeping it current, every edition
  • Working with trainers on what actually lands in the room

You bring

  • Working, current expertise in the stream — you build in it
  • Clear writing
  • The ability to design a hands-on build, not a lecture

Bonus: Hardware and lab experience for robotics, or LLM/agent product experience for the AI streams.

Why this role matters

You decide what a generation of builders actually learns in your field.

Practitioner Trainer / InstructorOpen nowDeliver cohorts at the workbench and make learners into builders.Teaching · In-house (salaried) or part-time · Our centres + partner campuses

What you'll own

  • Running L0–L3 sessions to the standardized module
  • Teaching concept inside the build — never whiteboard-only
  • Learner outcomes, portfolios and the showcase
  • Lab safety in your room, on the hardware streams

You bring

  • You build the thing you teach — portfolio, GitHub, projects
  • You can make a 14-year-old or a college student do, not just watch
  • Patience and energy

Bonus: Prior teaching; range across multiple streams; willingness to certify on new editions.

Why this role matters

Practitioner pay and respect — teaching here is a builder's craft, not a fallback. In-house and part-time tracks both exist.

Apply to teach →Trainers run through the certification pipeline on Teach with Us.
Lab Operations & Kit LogisticsOpen nowRun hardware labs across sites reliably, safely, and at a good cost per student.Operations · Full-time · India · on-site

What you'll own

  • Lab setup and maintenance
  • Kit sourcing, inventory and the optional take-home bundles
  • The safety protocol in practice — PPE, supervision ratios, incident logs
  • Per-student lab economics

You bring

  • Operational rigor
  • Hardware and electronics familiarity
  • A safety-first reflex

Bonus: Experience running multi-site physical operations.

Why this role matters

Lab-ops know-how is a real moat — money can copy our kits, not your ability to run labs profitably at scale.

Roles we know we'll need

Named because the work is real and coming, not because we're hiring for them this month. We hire the next bottleneck rather than an org chart — so if one of these is unmistakably yours, write anyway and say what you'd do first.

Growth & Partnerships (Institutional Sales)LaterSign and deepen school and college partnerships — the low-CAC engine.Growth · Full-time · India · field

What you'll own

  • The B2B2C pipeline
  • Running free-L0 pilots and demo days
  • Converting on the published per-seat rate card
  • Expanding accounts across streams and grades

You bring

  • Consultative, education-led selling
  • Comfort with transparent pricing — you educate and enrol rather than discount to close
  • Relationships in the schools and colleges world

Bonus: An existing institutional network in your region.

Why this role matters

You sell something schools genuinely can't build in-house, with a price sheet you never have to defend.

Apply for this role →Name the role in your message and attach or link your work.
Platform / Product EngineerLaterBuild the neutral builder platform that holds the learner relationship for life.Platform · Full-time · India · hybrid

What you'll own

  • Aileela v1 — single-player portfolio and progress, valuable to one learner alone — then the social graph
  • Learner-data systems with privacy by design, for minors' data under DPDP

You bring

  • Full-stack product engineering
  • A bias for shipping a useful v1 rather than a grand empty network
  • Genuine care about data and privacy

Bonus: Consumer or social product experience; India-scale systems.

Why this role matters

You're building the moat's connective tissue, and the whole direct-to-learner future.

Apply for this role →Name the role in your message and attach or link your work.
Center / Delivery OperationsLaterKeep cohorts full, scheduled and well-run — utilization is the second-biggest driver of our economics.Operations · Full-time · India · on-site

What you'll own

  • The cohort calendar, batches and scheduling
  • Center readiness
  • Learner care and communication
  • The operating rhythm — weekly delivery ops

You bring

  • Coordination and follow-through
  • Genuine care for learners and parents

Bonus: Edtech or campus operations experience.

Why this role matters

You turn fixed cost into profit by keeping the machine full.

Apply for this role →Name the role in your message and attach or link your work.
Finance & G&A / ComplianceLaterKeep the model honest, legal and legible.Finance · Full-time · India · on-site

What you'll own

  • Unit-economics discipline — the conversion and utilization numbers that make or break us
  • DPDP and minors'-data compliance, and the consent flows
  • Institutional contracts — MOUs, data-sharing
  • Standard startup finance

You bring

  • Finance and ops rigor
  • Familiarity with Indian edtech compliance and DPDP

Bonus: Experience with education or minors'-data regimes.

Why this role matters

In a sector distrusted for opacity, you make the trustworthy one actually trustworthy.

Apply for this role →Name the role in your message and attach or link your work.
  • Comp bands and location are set per hire. They're not published yet because they're not settled yet — we'll tell you the band for your role in the first conversation rather than asking what you currently earn.
  • Role-first, headcount-light. In this phase one person often wears several of these hats. We hire the next bottleneck, not an org chart — so if two roles below describe you, say so.
§ 03Teaching roles

Want to teach rather than build the company?

Practitioner trainers have their own route: a six-gate certification pipeline, an in-house salaried track and a part-time track alongside your day job, and an application form built for builders rather than for CVs.

Teach with us →
The constraint we're actually solving

Trainers, not demand

How fast we can say yes to a school is set by how many certified practitioner trainers we have — not by how many schools want us. That makes the teaching bench the single biggest lever on this company, and it is why the pipeline is published in full rather than hidden behind a form.

Nothing above fits?

Don't see your role? Tell us what you would build.

We hire the next bottleneck, which means the most useful application is often one that names a bottleneck we haven't. Write to us with what you've built, what you'd take on here, and why this problem. A CV is welcome; a portfolio is better.

Help close the gap.

Curriculum, labs, partnerships, platform, operations — the system that makes standardized frontier education actually run.
